The following is a show of the stages in creating a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry.
Custom Jewelry
Following the process of making each facet of the project they are joined together with durability, character, and natural effects in mind to create a finished piece that will hopefully bring satisfaction to one seeking to enjoy the beauty of all that nature has given to us.
After removing the model from the
casting clay an open form is left
for the pouring of molten sterling.
Using natural shapes such as this
sea shell is much easier than
having to make a model.
Making models of
clay and baked in
the oven to harden for
casting in sterling.
Carving and polishing until
you feel the objective has been
accomplished.
I hear many artisans say they look into the material and see what is inside wanting to come alive. When I first saw this gem of African Colla agate I can say that I could see the ocean waters and foam in the waves. It is all hypothetical at first until it develops as one continues
to bring it all to life. You know, waves, dolphins, shells, starfish, perils, they all take their place in forming a real life scene.
FOR YOU ENJOYMENT.
